PBA Systems would like to regretfully inform our customers that production of all DX A type linear motors will cease effective November 1, 2013. 15 years after it was first launched, the DX A linear motor is now obsolete. It's replacement, the DX B Ironless Linear Motors has slightly different motor coil dimensions, with the advantage of a longer effective stroke. The magnet track dimensions and mounting holes remain the same.

The coater machine functions include: dispensing a seal frame, coating glue, precise bonding and solidification.

Normally, dispensing the seal frame comes first, which is a time-consuming step, then followed by the coating glue. However, this machine combines two dispensers and one coater, so it can process two materials at the same time and reduce the dispensing time.

The dispenser part has two axes (X and Y), and the coater part has one axis (X), all using PBA Systems DX B Ironless Linear Motors. The two X-axes were combined into one long X-axis.

This machine is used for cutting metal plates. Depending on the customers' requirements, this machine can be used to cut different patterns.

This machine requires high repeatability, high accuracy, and high acceleration motion profile with low velocity ripple. In order to achieve a high resolution laser cutting head, PBA Systems designed a H-shape gantry which uses DX B Ironless Linear Motors coupled with PBA Systems MaxTune Servo Drive. The MaxMotion Control Card, together with a 0.5 um resolution encoder, was used to coordination and synchronization of the demanding motion profile .
